After a big family loss, I realised life’s too short to not follow your heart. So, I took the leap into floristry, and let me tell you—it’s been a wild ride ever since!
From retail to event floristry, I quickly fell head over heels for weddings. It was clear this was my thing, so I launched MeOhMy Flowers, turning my passion into a business that lets me do what I love, while still making space for the moments that matter most.
Honestly? No grand story here. I ran the name by the family, they liked it, and then it was pointed out it looked like “meow.” Cue alternating capitals—MeOhMy! And, as a lifelong cat person, it just clicked.
But here’s the thing—what really matters? The flowers. The way they bring a wedding to life, making everything you’ve imagined suddenly real and right in front of you. That’s what I do—take your big, beautiful ideas (even the vague ones) and turn them into florals that are completely you.
Before flowers, I was in the world of research with a science degree (hello, spreadsheets and organisation!). But my creative side was always there. I even dreamed of being an architect—turns out, florals are just as much about design, but with more romance and fewer bricks.
I’m all about the little things: I love pansies and sweet peas (thanks, Grandad’s garden), my favourite colour is green, and I’m totally obsessed with jumpsuits—floral, denim, embroidered… I’ll take them all!
Floristry has become more than just a job—it’s my way of life.
One of my favourite parts? The flower market. I’m not a morning person, but those early trips always get me wide awake. I’ll even go when I don’t need flowers—just because, why not?
MeOhMy has brought some incredible people into my life. Flowers have this way of making amazing connections, and I don’t take that for granted.
Behind the scenes, the work never stops (hello, spreadsheets!), but my science background keeps things organised. While I’m all about the flowers, it’s the moments they create that really matter. Being part of a couple’s love story through blooms? Now that’s the real privilege.
You’ll probably find me on a dirt road adventure, surrounded by trees, a river, and zero phone service. Think cosy campsite, a warm fire, a roast dinner, sweet treats, and maybe a gin (or two).
When I’m not camping, I’m on the hunt in secondhand stores for quirky vases and crystal pieces that are just waiting for a new home.
Flowers forever and always.
